Moon Light Saga - English Translation

I'm playing this absolute Gem of a game for Turbo R, and am struggling a little due to it being in Jananese.
I came across some old threads about an English translation of this being in progress.
Was it ever finished?

There are not that many Turbo R games and this one is a 'Must' for a translation!

I think there were issues of the game crashing at certain points when a translation was attempted before, but I don't remember for sure. It would be nice to see if there are any recent updates to this project or if anyone has anything new to share about it still being possible one day. : )

We did some preliminary work on the translation, but we won't work on it until the other projects are finished.

Well to tie you over you could always play the game with help of Takamichi's walkthrough which is easy to follow and complete the game with even with no working knowledge of Japanese. But obviously you'll not get all the finer details in the story. If possible we'll work on it later on.

I did translate all the texts but the original developer could not yield the working translated version. I faintly remember the reason of failure was one byte character display feature that he had to improvise new, the original could display only the full width (2 byte) characters. My theory is that if I convert all the translated text to full width alphanumerals the translation might succeed.
The problem is the developer Tsuchiya Akira is now a mega game industry genius known for titles like Ar tonelico and Atelier and I doubt if he still take attention on puny mortal like me ;)
Whatever, I have entire MLS development source :D

Curiosity; if you have a MLS copy, is it copy protected or not? My own copy is. I ask this because the Appends manual says you can easily make a disk image out of them so it might be the later versions weren't copy protected.

Edit: The developer answered me and he agreed to let the MLS go free as long as he can know where it's downloadable and he can see the customers' reviews!
