Never heard about it! Where is this, The Hague?
Are you serious, Grauw?
The pictures I posted are from Scheveningen, but it's celebrated in more parts of the Netherlands.
Are you pulling my leg here? You know I'm easily fooled. Please don't abuse that.
No seriously never heard of it . Maybe only celebrated in harbour towns?
Hmmm, total culture shock, I guess. That must be it...
Wanna come? You can lodge @ my place.
I am kind of trying to overcome my confusement right now, realising that this apparently is not a national celebration at all (because I thought all my life it was), lol.

Hahaha .
Sounds nice, but I can’t, sorry! (Am in Stockholm for work this week!)
LOL, okay man, maybe next year, who knows. But at least you know what I'm doing next weekend.
ah, herrings and crayfish and lovely orange clad women!
Spent the first 22 years in Sweden, thinking about crayfish parties and eating herring is making me homesick..
Ever tried herring the "bøkling"-way? Its a herring that is cured through hot smoking and even though most fishes taste really good when treated with hot smoking the herring is special.. arghs, watering mouth
Sometimes called "a kipper" I think? "Smoke me a kipper etc" (Red Dwarf?)
Hahaha
