Cursus ML (ML Course)

Hi all,

I'm Mark, new here.. Dusted off my old NMS 8245 (been gathering dust for over 10 years). Everything still works!
Bought a Sd reader from Paladial and I'm into it again. Playing Ys 1 now..
I'm also trying to learn ML. I'm following the courses in Msx Computer Magazine, starting with number 6 (1986).
I'm missing number 7, so I don't have part 2 of the course!
Can anybody help me with this problem?

This site claims to contain all MCMs online http://www.msxcomputermagazine.nl/site_tmp/ but it has been an empty placeholder for a year now with only dead links.

Perhaps other forum members know the status or any other source for this? I've seen a few online MSX magazine archiving efforts lately, with the one constant factor of an almost complete disregard of Dutch sources.

Ah, so the actual work (setting up site, scanning all the stuff) takes a couple of months, and then a year to do the legal splitting of hairs... Gotta love it.

I have a lot of respect for the work that was done here. Let's hope we can enjoy it sometime soon, I'd love to re-read this stuff.

Hi,

I learned assembly using this book.
I acquired a second hand Dutch version on bol.com for about 4 Euro (incl shipping). But English PDF will do fine too.:hannibal:

After I was finished with the book (skipping a chapter here and there) I started the VDP programming using Sean Young's info about the MSX1 VDP (can be found on map.grauw.nl).

Thanks, good people, for all your suggestions. I've mailed MarcV. I'm also having a look at the book Huey recommended to me.
Btw; What assembler is favourite? Currently I'm using Wbass2, which is fine by me, but I haven't tried another one.
