I have just googled a bit. It appears in this catalogue as an accessory for transceivers :-?
Para conectar el msx a una emisora, que bueno.
Unfortunately for you, nobody knew this cart and I bought all stuff from yahoo auctions
Many thanks to Takamichi!
We have rom dump too, stay tuned!
With this cart you can connect Ham Radios http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amateur_radio to the MSX, and transfer files to other people. CALL commands in firmware!
Wi-fi was already invented for MSX (and Apple) in mid 80s!
Thats amazing! Remember also another rare cart: Weather Station cart for MSX by Toshiba...
Also, MSX-FAQ lists another unknown cart... well I think I've got it, it's a card reader.
I think it is the last on this list: http://www.faq.msxnet.org/hardware.html#Toshiba
but I don't remember it has a cable.
So this evening I will check.
I suppose there are more devices from Toshiba: I read a article on a old magazine about cooperation between Toshiba and public Italian schools, mainly in communication / modem field.
Can you only transfer files or also set frequency of Yaesu transceivers?
Noadays there is a progam for PC called RadioCom from Bonito which can control these transceivers... In that case i am very curious what it can do with the cat interface of the FT-847
I'm sure some software exist somewhere in the net. I know some user made MSX-Basic programs, too.
I'm waiting to receive carts, so I'll do some experiment.

It is a cartridge for use with "CAT" functions in the transceiver. CAT stands for Computer Aided Transceiver, and is simply a way to control remotely via the computer all the radio functions, without the need of using the built-in menus or buttons of the radio. It is interesting nonetheless for the memory management of certain scanners, but nowadays the cat software has improved much more and the usage via mouse is more adequate. Would have been interesting if it was a packet or rtty cartridge, because on these modes, you can actually swap information and data between computers, as the cat is only useful for controlling the radio. Is there any dump already of the roms?. Would be interesting to check in emulators and see how it was in those times the cat control.
@_ThEcRoW: thankyou for the infos, yes dumps do exist, format .ROM for the cart and .CAS for the software on tape. Only I want to re-dump cart with the MSX Game Reader, maybe this weekend.
