MSX demonstration at Assembly 2002

Nyyrikki informed us that here will be a live MSX demo show at he famous scene-party Assembly tonight. The demo show will be broadcast on their website at 22:00 (GMT +3). Taken from the Assembly site:

'We have invited few guests to watch the demos with us in the studio.

After his presentation at the Tilburg fair last year, our MSX founder did a presentation at the MIT, were he is a visiting professor. Although there were some other people who went on that trip, nobody was allowed to say anything afterwards.

A few months ago I found out that all presentations at the MIT have to go public.

Slotman updated MSX-Pad, the Turbo Pascal IDE environment for Windows today. Changes:

  • Locked the text box on the compilation error screen.
  • Fixed bug with long file names.

After YS Eternal and YS2 eternal, Falcom has released a box set including YS1 and YS2. These PC remakes look really cool and are available in CD-ROM and DVD-ROM versions.

ESE-MSX

After a period of silence, Tsujikawa of ESE has succeeded in his attempts to build a MSX1 computer in PLD technology. Included features are 128KB RAM, PSG, SCC and keyboard & joystick connectors. In this current prototype he still uses a Sharp LH0080 CPU (Z80 compatible CPU), but even this CPU can be moved to PLD. Future plans are R800, MSX2 emulation and FM synthesis (hence MSX-MUSIC).
