Boukichi has released a new version of the MSX Compatible BIOS. Changes

  • Extended the display function
  • First MSX2 version
  • Tested with paraMSX

As reported earlier, most BIOS functions are still replaced with dummies so a lot of software will not work.

A new version of this frontend for NLMSX was released today.Changelog:

  • Updated the memory type options, according to NLMSX v0.43
  • Fixed the MSX Turbo-R config name to Turbo-R, default name on NLMSX
  • Added the new NLMSX help file into the Help main menu
  • Added the Visual MSX tutorial into the Help m

After the beta which was released last week, a new version was released today. With ExecROM you can emulate MegaROMs on the MSX, when you are the proud owner of a MegaRAM cartridge.

AnimeVamp is working on a mixed SD Snatcher/Snatcher remake for windows.. This is what the author had to say about it:

Over the last years, this demogroup has given us great MSX demos with graphical effects we've never seen before on the MSX platform.On their official homepage, there is the news they won't continue with MSX. For them, it's time to 'move on'.

Most of us love the Japanese Kanji, food and culture because the MSX system was designed in Japan. To identify yourself a bit more with this denyu land why not wear a cool t-shirt with Japanese text? At www.jlist.com you can find t-shirts with hilarious Japanese texts on them.

I was just browsing RetroPC when I found this very interesting link. Over here you can find the very first release of an MSX compatible BIOS. People have started reverse-engineering the BIOS. Currently, a small part of the MSX1 bios is working.
