Some Japanese programmer has some programs including home cooked shooters on his webpage you can download for free. There are a few for MSX2 (works also in Emulators) and there is also one that runs under Windows. The one under Windows looks like Puyo Puyo in Space.
Primitive Sound is an online music label which is specialized in releasing gamemusic.Last year they released a cd audio with gamemusic from the MSX games Kanzen Kouryaku Kyokugen and Pleasure Hearts.
Gainax released Princess Maker 2 for the GamePark32 portable game console.
A company called Spectra Technology Solutions released the first adventure game for the dutch KPN i-mode mobile phones. What makes it even more special, is that the game is obviously based on the Runemaster type of games.

The MSX GNOME project is aims to make MSX-centered themes for the GNOME desktop environment. GNOME runs on Linux, *BSD and Solaris operating systems. There are already themes for Nautilus file manager and Metacity window manager.
