bgMSX - Music from Naruto added

The website dedicated to music made on MSX, bgMSX, has added music from Japanese chiptune composer Naruto to their database of currently 1824 songs. As with other major announcements on bgMSX, the website has added some relevant information to read.

A new version of this emulator has been released recently. In this update it's possible to write changes to (uncompressed) disk images. The documentation has therefore also added a section regarding all details and warnings.

The organization of the Nijmegen fair has informed us that Wijkcentrum Hatert has been reserved for January 19th, 2008. The fair will be on the usual spot and will have the usual features. The web site will be updated soon and registration will start a few months before the fair. Mark the date into your agendas!

Konami revives Track & Field

During the Leipzig Games Conference, Konami have announced a new Track & Field game for Nintendo DS.

The ever growing retrogaming music archives of Retro PC Game Music were updated with the soundtrack of Falcom's classic RPG Romancia (DragonSlayer jr.; PC-8801 version).

Valken has informed us that he has set up an MSXplug mailing list for people who wish to exchange ideas and experiences about KSS files and/or MSXplug development with others.

In 1992, Fairy Tale released Dead of the Brain, perhaps the most gore and visually disturbing game on MSX2/2+.
