After over two years since the previous release, Rudolf Lechleitner surprises us with a new version of RuMSX. Version 0.41 brings lots of changes, a list so big that in this case we're happy to redirect you to the RuMSX website!
Nowind Update
More and more people are receiving their Nowind Interfaces, the new MSX hardware to use your PC harddisk on MSX via USB. Here is an overview of issues and news updates:
- A bug has been uncovered in the current firmware version that can cause disk-image corruption when images are written too.
MSX Info Update 2008
News from the MSXdev organization: the jury has been announced! It's always a challenge to find a proper jury. Each year it's fun to have a totally new jury, but the members should have enough skills to be able to rate each entry and recognize all the merits the game developers have put into their entry.
And suddenly, out of the blue, there is a new contest, organized by the French/English website Passion MSX. In a way, there are quite a few similarities with the popular MSXdev contests, the biggest difference will be the target platform: MSX2.
On the MadriSX 25th anniversary event, held last Saturday June 28th, Matra showcased FLAX. FLAX is a new type of Flash cartridge for your MSX, a device to which you can upload a (game) ROM image.
Penguin Adventure review
Passion MSX has published an extensive review/article about Konami's classic Penguin Adventure. This article contains details and screenshots of all the levels, items, the ending, the warps and a lot more.
Italian MSX programmer Marco Rossin has sent us Ghibli 0.2 to add to our growing Freeware Download database. GHIBLI is a symbolic debugger designed to aid development of 64K-based MSX-DOS applications.
From XL2s comes the tenth entry for the MEGA Challenge: Blur promo. The promo part of the title refers to the state of the game, it's not completely finished yet, but it's nonetheless something completely new.
