MSXart unlimited - Lode Runner

MSXart, the wallpaper contest without deadline, continuous with a new entry, made by Polaris: Lode Runner. The image is a modern and dark image of something that resembles an eye, containing a 3d-twisted image of Lode Runner. Another image has already been submitted, to be released within the next few days.

  • Tomas Karlsson, who is known for his wide knowledge on Spectravideo computers, and for being part of the core development team of blueMSX.
  • Rudi Westerhof, also known as Lord S.M.

MSXdev09 - Retaliot update

There's a small update regarding Retaliot, an MSXdev entry announced last week. While there's no in-game screenshot yet, there's now at least a title screen to enjoy. According to the developers, we're about to see some great scrolls and visuals.

Several chips are in use by our MSX or by its extensions. Some of them are really made for the MSX, others are chips being used elsewhere as well. One of the advantages of chips being used in other systems is that developers on other systems start all kinds of interesting projects which are practical for us too.

MRC regular poke-1,170 has submitted a remix for the new 8 bit operators project "Wanna Hld Yr Handheld". This project is all about remixes of The Beatles, made by chiptune composers.

In a recent show of the Brazilian MTV, a number of people were interviewed regarding the various game consoles they own. All kinds of models are clearly visible, including our sturdy MSX! The MSX logo isn't really shown, but to us it was of course more than obvious. Later on Konami's Vampire Killer is shown, both the cartridge and the actual game play.
