OPF manual in English
OPF is the program needed to load ROM files into the new Mega ROM flash cartridge. IN a recent update the Spanish manual was adapted, but until now there was no English version available. As of now, you can download the English manual from this website
The Asociación Amigos del MSX announced the 23rd MSX user meeting of Barcelona. Unlike other years, the may meeting has been moved to a saturday instead of sunday, to increase the ammount of visitors even more. The 23rd Barcelona meeting will be held on May 10th, 2003.
This year, aamsx has organized a Quarth-competition (in 2 player mode).

Frederik Boelens of the TeddyWareZ has decided to put all software this dutch MSX group have ever made online. On the new TeddyWareZ website you can download them all for free.
fMSXSO v1.32bc
This small update to fMSXSO changes the header portion of cassette tape images so that it conforms with fMSX. Old images have become unusable, but it should be possible to update old images to the new format manually (with a hex editor).
Once again, Konami released some classic MSX games, restyled for iMode phones. This time Vampire Killer (Castlevania), Road fighter, Antarctic adventure, Mahjong, Pooyan and Time pilot were unleashed for the people who subscribed to the iMode Konami games service.
Melon-DOS 0.01
Boukichi, the creator of C-BIOS has started development of Melon-DOS. Melon-DOS is a new Operating System for the MSX which can be used to run files contained in a .DSK image. Currently, the first version doesn't do much more than actually boot. Sources are included, however so it could be interesting material for coders, who are allowed to change whatever they desire.
Michiel de Vries has been working quite a lot lately, and the results are impressive. After seeing each others products, Michiel de Vries and Marcel Delorme (known from several GFX9000 tools and programs like Moonblaster Wave) decided to team up. The OPL4 wave-editor for GFX9000 and Meridian will support a new wave-format, specially designed for these two programs.
