Hans Otten sent us a link to the Calamar Group page, a Spanish user group who make software and hardware for MSX. One of their latest projects is the PSX2MSX project which enables you to connect a Playstation joypad to any MSX.

Konami released The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PS2 in Japan. This disc containts all the 3d models, music, characters and artwork of the game.

A Korean company called Global Trading Co. is selling Yamaha V9958 VDP chips for $11 each. Their home page is at:

Boukichi released a new version of the MSX Compatible BIOS.Changelog:

  • Various keyboard routines were added.
  • Joystick function was added (GTSTCK and GTTRIG)

Some Japanese programmer has some programs including home cooked shooters on his webpage you can download for free. There are a few for MSX2 (works also in Emulators) and there is also one that runs under Windows. The one under Windows looks like Puyo Puyo in Space.

Primitive Sound is an online music label which is specialized in releasing gamemusic.Last year they released a cd audio with gamemusic from the MSX games Kanzen Kouryaku Kyokugen and Pleasure Hearts.
