Ultimate MSX Game Character Battle Brawl [finale]

The grand finale of the largest MRC megapoll ever has just begun! In the Ultimate MSX Game Character Battle Brawl we set out to find out which MSX game character would win a hypothetical one-on-one free fighting championship. What started with a request to send in nominations on November 11th, 2010 resulted in a massive list of 296 MSX game characters.

Yesterday, we reported about the third edition of Retrospectiva. We did however, completely overlook an MSX game released in last year's RSP MMX competition.

Dr. Venom, Fray, Gillian Seed and Solid Snake are the last 4 characters standing in our Ultimate MSX Game Character Battle Brawl. Three characters conceived by Konami, one by MicroCabin. One of them is evil. One of them is female.

The Argentine retro community Retrocomputación announced the third Retrospectiva competition. Retrospectiva is a competition for all 8, 16 and 32 bits platforms, with the intention to promote older computer systems.

Today, on the website of the UK gaming magazine Computer and Video Games, a brief article on the history of MSX was published in their Time Machine series.

MSX Datapack 2 - PDF fixed

Earlier this year the MSX Datapack was scanned by Dioniso. But unfortunately there was a problem with the PDF file of volume 2, some pages were mixed with volume 1.

Dioniso has fixed this second volume and Konamito made it available for download.

With their popular game series like Aleste, Golvellius and Zanac, not to mention the great DiscStation series, Compile was one of those Japanese game publishers that had a special bond with the MSX computer.
