MSXRio 2010
The MSXRio user group invites everyone to visit the 2010 edition of MSXRio, the meeting for MSX fans in or around Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). It's been organized since 1997 already, making it one of the more successful MSX meetings world wide, so write down October 9th into your agendas!
At the end of this week, the Bonami Retro Fair takes place. It's in the time slot where the former Bussum fair used to be, and can thus it be seen as a kind of replacement. The list of booths is probably complete by now - 37 names.
Game developer Imanok is no stranger in these revival years. One just has to mention games like Traffic Jam and the hilarious Txupinazo! to be convinced by the general quality of his output.
Today was the day of Retromallorca, a meeting full o' computer legends from the 80's; MSX, Commodore, Macintosh, Apple, Spectrum, Amiga and more! There's a lot of photo and video coverage of this event, including media coverage.
GXSCC for Mac OS-X
Mac OS-X users can now easily run the unique GXSCC player on their Macs. It's a wrapper that's allow easy use of GXSCC on the Mac environment almost like a Mac application.
For the sixth time in a row, January will be the month of the annual MSX Fair in Nijmegen. In 2006 it took over the time slot left open by the discontinued MSX fair in Oss. After the MSX fair in Bussum was discontinued it has since become the only pure-MSX fair in The Netherlands.
Darkstone has been working on a new MSXdev entry for a while already; a mix of action and puzzle. The title suggests a typical fantasy environment; the era of wizardry and knights.

MSXdev'10 - #3 Ratbox
Italian programmer Andrea Gasparinni is an MSXdev regular. One may say that an MSXdev year without at least one AG Software entry would be incomplete. So, with Andrea's entry, MSXdev'10 is already complete, in a way.. Ratbox is the name of the game, where you control a rat collecting all sorts of items.
