The French MSX community portal MSX Café have updated their website with a dossier on dB-Soft's shoot'em-up Strategic Mars. The dossier contains background information on the game, screen shots, game hints and even video footage of its gameplay.

The MSX IPS Archive has been updated with a patch for Phantomas Saga: Infinity for MSX.

The French MSX community portal MSX Café now offers the PowerMSX archives - scanned in PDF format. PowerMSX was a French MSX magazine that was issued between 1994 and 1997. The first 9 (out of 17) issues are now available for download.

A new version of this MSX1/2/2+ emulator for the open source GP2x game- and media handheld was released a few days ago.

New in this version:

  • Huge speed improvements
  • New graphics
  • Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
  • Added a simple intro splash screen
  • Support iso8859-1 fonts in p

MSX users yum (Robert Vroemisse) and DemonSeed (John Hassink) have created a rearrangement of the intro demo song from HyDeFos, an MSX2 game relased by Hertz in 1989.
