iMSX 1.2

Today, a new beta of this freeware launcher for BlueMSX has been released. With iMSX one can start up games in a very simple way: select one of the four generic MSX models, select a game, and off you go. The website contains information about the requirements, installing, and more.

We've just reported about ferrerico's entries a day ago, and today two more entries from him have been added to the list of MSXart'07 entries, a challenge organized by Passion MSX.

SymbOS 2.0

A new version of the multi-tasking operating system SymbOS has been released today. Probably the three most outstanding features are the richtext support, the 1024KB ram support and the MP3MSX plugin for the included SymAmp application.

MSXart '07 Romancia entries

Two new entries have been added to the MSXart'07 competition, organized by Passion MSX. These new wallpaper entries have been made by MSX user ferrerico and are about the MSX game Romancia.

In the past few years, openMSX has become available for various platforms, after it initially started as a Linux application. Unfortunately, support for the Windows platform has become an uncertainty recently.

It has been a while, but the MSX Resource Center has once again reached an impressive milestone: on August 25th our Motigo webstats counter broke through the 5,000,000 visits barrier.

A new version of SCMD, the multichannel PCM and multichip soundplayer for MSX has been released. In this release, a bug that occurred when writing to OPLL registers whilst changing the pitch of a tone was fixed.

The SCMD player allows you to play multiple samples on one or even two SCC cartridges at the same time, which is similar to playing MOD-files.

bgMSX - Music from Naruto added

The website dedicated to music made on MSX, bgMSX, has added music from Japanese chiptune composer Naruto to their database of currently 1824 songs. As with other major announcements on bgMSX, the website has added some relevant information to read.

A new version of this emulator has been released recently. In this update it's possible to write changes to (uncompressed) disk images. The documentation has therefore also added a section regarding all details and warnings.
