It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with PSPMSX, the new MSX emulator for PSP. The author of PSPMSX is pumping out new versions faster than we can post about them.
Nerlaska Studio, a Spanish company specialized in low cost games that has developed video games for PC, PlayStation 2 and mobile devices, enters the MSXdev'06 contest with an RPG (Role Playing Game) for MSX called Monster Hunter.
Monster Hunter is going to be a 1Mbit MegaROM supporting SCC and uses a turn based fighting system.
Compile returns?
In January 2003 we had some sad news to report. Compile, developer of such gaming series as Aleste, Disc Station, Golvellius, Randar and Puyo Puyo went bankrupt.

Yaksa in Project EGG
Amusement Center have re-released Wolf Team's RPG Yaksa in Project EGG. On MSX2, the game was originally released in 1987.
Hans Otten has updated his MSX info pages with sources to MSX-DOS 1.03, which were disassembled, documented and made compileable bij Luis Claudio Grosso.
Manuel Bilderbeek managed to create an AVI video out of the highly anticipated X-Tazy introdemo 1.2, which is, specwise, quite demanding.
PSPMSX 1.0.2
Yesterday, we posted about PSPMSX 1.0.1, a new MSX emulator for PSP, based on fMSX-SDL by Vincent van Dam. As Ludovic Jacomme promised, this version supports save states. Also new -and handy!- is an 'exit' option and the default configuration has been changed to MSX2+.
