Almost exactly a year ago we reported about ESE MSX, a one-chip MSX prototype developed by Tujikawa. A year later, the project has advanced a lot. Newly added features are:

  • MSX2 compatibility (the site mentions MSX1, but an YS2 screenshot proves otherwise.

The Japanese Audio-Visual Education Association (JAVEA) is holding a festival on which will decided which new educational initiatives will be awarded with a prestigious price.

Project EGG, a Japanese retrocomputing webshop has closed a deal with Aiky which made it possible to release several Compile titles running on the MSXPLAYer engine.

In January the curtains fell for one of the best Japanese softwarehouses,

The Roland MT-32 was one of the first polyphonic MIDI modules targeted for home use. Using the then new and revolutionary LA-synthesis it set the standards for home MIDI audio. For this reason it was supported by many computer games.

Arranger - new website

Right here you can find the new Arranger page. The Arranger team is about to release their 'Arranger Platinum', the successor to the popular 'Arranger Gold' which was released some years ago.

Arranger Gold and Arranger Platinum are both audio CDs with arrangements of well known MSX tunes.

The 27th and 28th of September seem to become an international day of MSX Celebration this year. While the Dutch can head to the MSX Fair in Bussum and the MSX Marathon, people in Brazil can celebrate the 20th anniversary of MSX during MSX Rio in the same weekend.
