What I mean is that Konami gets a good result by mixing FM + PSG. Rare are those who have done it in games (Microcabin and a few others). Most use the basic FM sounds which I don't like so much. F1 Spirit 3D has music with sounds not as polished as other games using SCC+PSG. So much so that I doubt that it is musics made by the Konami Team.
I personally find the F1 Spirit 3D Special soundtrack quite nice for what it is. It still sounds better than average despite being kinda bland, technically.
F1 Spirit 3D music are probably not done by the Konami team.
Music was composed by Tsutomu Ogura and, as far as I know, it was the first time he worked for a MSX game. Maybe Konami only had to find someone among its music staff used to working with FM synthesis (he composed for Thunder Cross) to have the product ready within the schedule.
