Just curious: do know how faster is the "high-speed" function ?

On most drives it is double speed, so a 1200baud recording (which is most common) will be fed as 2400baud into the MSX.

Ok, thanks for the answer! Did you by any chance try a 2400 bauds tape (so generating a signal at 4800 bauds) ?
