Hi Alex, welcome to the forum! Thanks for sharing that story about Nike-DOS. I've already been in contact with NSG and Max Iwamoto. Your information nicely complements the things they have told me. You mention the project got started by Alexander Demenshin. Is he also known as Kim Rado? I have written a Wiki Page about Nike-DOS and there's some information on the MSX-DOS 1 Clones page as well.
When I started this topic, I was researching official and unofficial DOS versions. Quite a few times I have found versions that were just official MSX-DOS with a few bytes changed. Mostly version number, sometimes credits. Right now I think Kiev-DOS is just that.
Maybe you can help us settle this once and for all. Do you have any copies of different versions of Nike-DOS left?

btw, I used this clone in my submission to all-soviet-union competition organized by ASCII corp and soviet ministry of education, and got some promotional prize.
yes, I still have some disk images and archives, mostly I shared those with Max Iwamoto so you might already have them.

I found archive with files originally collected by NSG as msx-dos switcher, like around 8 versions (2-3 versions of nike dos included). I dont know if that could be run from simulator.. have to check - did NSG shared it somewhere with you?

Does anybody know the origin of this COMMAND.COM? Which MSXDOS.SYS should I use with it? Inside there's reference to a couple of system files: PROTOOL.SYS, MIM.SYS, BLEDIT.SYS, DSKEDIT.SYS. Does anyone have any of these files?

His name should be spelled as Epiktetov. He was one of the guys who developed stuff for MSX in USSR.
The main hubs were Moscow and Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk made big amount of nice tools. Their main guy in Novosibirsk Leonid Baraz made DBG (debugger), TOR, and XTOR (multi-window text editors).
I just quickly googled it and possibly found Leonid Baraz on Facebook and LinkedIn. Maybe you can try to reach out directly to him. He should have an enormous amount of interesting information.
