I have a smartphone with android 2.3 and openmsx 0.10.1.
Tested the hardware panasonic turbo r, gradient msx 1.1, CIEL.
Already changed the configuration of the keyboard several times for various languages, English us, uk, Portuguese, etc.
The keyboard is responding erroneously, for example, I can not type the quotes, either by pressing the button with quotes on the keyboard, such as using the keyboard emulated MSX above the 2 key, completely different symbol appears.
Also did not solve use the android application (Hacker's Keyboard), because gave in the same.

If you are using the OSD keyboard, this is expected. It only works properly on US/English/international keyboards.

But, do you use the OSD keyboard (top right virtual button in the virtual button group on the bottom right) or the Android keyboard (virtual button on the top left of the screen)? When I try the Android keyboard in openMSX 0.10.2 (there is a 0.10.2 update for Android only), I can type quotes fine on the turboR, simply by typing the quote char with the Android keyboard.

I also have Android 2.3 btw.

First congratulations for the excellent work with this emulator, I already consider him the best made until today, I use openmsx on PC too.

I am also a programmer, I program in both C and assembly, as x86 and Z80, since 1990. If you need some help can rely on me too.

I also own a real MSX, Gradiente Expert 1.1, upgraded to MSX2+, 256KB mapper, FM, and megaram 256KB.

My smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy Y GTB5512B.

I used the three keyboards, the physical keyboard, the virtual, and the virtual keyboard emulator own.

Other problem:
At the Console Command into the emulator, using any of the three keyboards, the only key that works is the ENTER (return). No other key press is echoed.

That last problem is solved with openMSX 0.10.2.

If you want to help with developing openMSX, it's easiest to join our IRC channel #openMSX on the FreeNode.net network.

II'm trying to access an ISO image of a CD in openmsx, but I can not, already tried the Sunrise IDE driver, but without success. The image CD is KMGR3.BIN ( from knightmare gold ) already built and ready with kmare.rom ROM. The image is converted to ISO using UltraISO.

The image must be ISO, or may be BIN?

My last attempt was to use the built-in driver IDECDEX in msxdos2.dsk image.

The hardware used is CIEL Expert-Turbo.

So, I open the command prompt, and type: cda KMGR3.iso. ( the local of this image is ...Catapult\bin )
In MSXDOS2 type: idecdex, automatically assigns a drive letter, but when listing contents only get trash, the files are not listed.
The KMGR3.iso image is correct, it opens normally in UltraISO.

On a site was recommended to use the Panasonic Turbo-R hardware in openmsx to access an ISO image, but in my case, before entering the MSXDOS2 the error appears: No Enough Memory.

The extensions used is: DDX3.0, ide, msxdos2.

I already tried using the extensions to increase memory, ram1mb, ram2mb, ram4mb, but without success, and in some cases showing the error: Not enough free cartridge slots.

So, when I add the extension: slotexpander, got another error: No free primary slot.

alexdedalus: the Android versions are not on our site. They are distributed via Google Play.

The ISO image must be ISO. I don't know what BIN is in this case.
You don't need the msxdos2 extension if you use the IDE interface, it already contains DOS2.

When using the slotexpander, make sure to first insert the slotexpander and then the other extensions.

When I'm back home I'll also give it a try. It's a long time ago that I tried Knightmare Gold.

Oh, one thing, CD Audio is not emulated, so it's not really useful to use the CD version of Knightmare Gold.

However, I tried it here on a turboR and a Philips NMS 8250 and I could check the CD-ROM contents just fine.

I tried to convert the KMGR3.BIN/CUE to ISO, but for some reason that version doesn't start up, saying that it can't find the ROM file, although it's on the CD-ROM. Another ISO I still had around from 2006 (20th Anniversary Edition?) says it can't find the KMG CD, but it starts up the game fine (without CD-AUDIO of course, perhaps that's what the message is about).

I do not use google play.
I only and preferably do apk download of applications directly.
I appreciate if you can show me a direct form of access to download the apk.

Thank you!

Note: The services of google play, disrupting and slowing the use of my phone because google play does download other unnecessary files in my internal memory. For me it is much easier and practical to directly download apk apps, keep them as a backup on my PC, and via "adb install" passes them to the smartphone.
